All You Need To Know About Our Lambs:

We aim to get our lambs as friendly and used to people as it is possible before they leave here. They are all different, different personalities = different levels of confidence. No matter how much time we put in you will need to put in more if you want the lambs to be super friendly with you. Sheep recognise and get to know people by voice and looks, they will recognise you just by looking, so if they don't know a person they will often be wary around them at first until they get to know and trust them.

We try to get them eating food from our hands and many of our lambs will even come over for a scratch and a cuddle!

We aim to get all lambs bucket trained (meaning they will follow you for a bucket with some nuts in).

All lambs come with a Certificate (its mostly for fun), which will contain all their details including their date of birth, parents and grandparents and so on. It will state where the lamb was bred and that they are a Patchwork Sheep :)

Please take the time to read some of the other pages about our sheep before you decided if they are the right sort of sheep for you.

The Important Stuff Regarding Reserving Lambs:

A small deposit of £10 per lamb will reserve that lamb for you until weaning at around 12 weeks of age.

You can come and view the lambs and pick our the ones you want or if that is not possible you can send a deposit via cheque in the post, and we will send you a receipt for your deposit.

You will receive an email update every 3 weeks, with photos of your lambs and you are also welcome to come and visit your lambs again if you wish before they are weaned and ready to leave.

All lambs are wormed, have their feet checked, and may if necessary be given a vitamin supplement and all are double tagged before they leave us.

We offer a lifetime of support and advice regarding any lambs purchased from us and are more than happy to help and advise new sheep owners as much as needed, don't be afraid to ask us :)

You will need to have a CPH holding number before you can purchase sheep.

This can be obtained for FREE from DEFRA.

Please note that many of the lambs will have horns when fully grown (both the girls and boys), some have 2 horns, some 4 horns and some have more! Though we do also get a fair number of lambs without horns. It can be hard to tell with some lambs whether they will have horns or not until they are at least a few weeks old and is not possible to have lambs dis-budded so if you really don't want a sheep with horns these may not be the right sheep for you.

Please see our Terms and Conditions with regards to deposits on lambs.
