Handmade

Needle felted wool Christmas / winter robin decoration.

These little robins are each individually handmade so no two will ever be the same. This listing is for the exact robin pictured. They are 100% wool bodies with tiny glass/wire eyes and copper wire legs that can be gently bent to secure on a perch of choice. They are not free standing. The wool used comes from my own flock of sheep and is all natural colours except for the obvious red/orange which has been handdyed.

Perfect for the festive season perched on a Christmas tree! They make a nice unique gift or treat for yourself. Each robin comes in a simple card gift box.

NOT A TOY – Contains small parts! Intended as an ornament for decoration purposes only. Will not stand up to play.

There may be the odd bit of natural vegetable matter such as little pieces of hay imbedded deep within the fleece. All part of the natural charm and very normal to find amongst the fleece of a sheep!

A small amount of glue is used to secure the wire legs and a tiny amount of clear nail varnish is applied to the tiny beak to protect the wool there.

If you have and questions please get in touch.

Measurements are approx 10 cm long from tip of beak to tail. As mentioned above, this is handmade and is not perfectly uniform like a factory produced item would be.. And unlike most factory produced items this is eco-friendly, biodegradable, traceable right back to the individual sheep who grew the wool and the sale of it will directly support my sheep flock and own family.

As wool is a wonderful natural product from a happy sheep and has been completely processed by my own hands there is most likely still the odd grass seed and whisp of hay to be found amongst the fibres though I have done my best to remove them. This is the beauty of nature and sheep 🙂

A lot of time, care and love go into all my items they are all individually made one at a time by just 1 pair of hands – from caring for and shearing the sheep, washing the wool and crafting an item to the packaging and posting – handmade in the truest sense of the word.

Any questions just send me a message.

We keep a well loved, high welfare flock of pet and rescue sheep on the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Our sheep are a part of the family and each is known by name. All our wool and makes are vegetarian-friendly as we do not breed or sell sheep for the meat market and our sheep live out their natural lives with us. I am a fulltime mum and slave to sheep! In my (none existent!) free time I make things from wool from the sheep in order to sustain them.
