Large raw unwashed Jacob sheep fleece.
Weight approx 2.5kg
This fleece comes from a small farm at Tudweliog on the Llyn Peninsular. It is being sold on behalf of the lady who owns the actual sheep who grew this fleece and does not come from one of the Patchwork flock.
This fleece is partly felted in many places.
Suitable for peg loom weaving or wet felting into a vegetarian sheepskin fleece rug or smaller seat pads. NOT suitable for spinning.
I have lightly skirted this fleece and removed some of the obvious vm but there is lots of vegetable matter within areas of this fleece such as goarse most noticable down the spine of the fleece so not all the fleece may be of use it depends what you wish to do with it. But it is a big fleece so plenty to play with. Personally if I were keeping it I would make a few smaller wet felted fleece seat pads or a small felted rug.

As wool is a wonderful natural product from a happy sheep and has been completely processed by my own hands there is most likely still the odd grass seed and whisp of hay to be found amongst the fibres though I have done my best to remove them. This is the beauty of nature and sheep 🙂
A lot of time, care and love go into all my items they are all individually made one at a time by just 1 pair of hands – from caring for and shearing the sheep, washing the wool and crafting an item to the packaging and posting – handmade in the truest sense of the word.
Any questions just send me a message.
Orders over £45 will be posted FREE of charge.
Postage is set to MAINLAND UK with Royal Mail or myHermes and items are usually dispatched within 1-5 working days. I am happy to post to remote areas, US/Canada and EU but please ask as postage will be more expensive. If I have grearly over charged on postage I will refund the difference.

We keep a well loved, high welfare flock of pet and rescue sheep on the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Our sheep are a part of the family and each is known by name. All our wool and makes are vegetarian-friendly as we do not breed or sell sheep for the meat market and our sheep live out their natural lives with us. I am a fulltime mum and slave to sheep! In my (none existent!) free time I make things from wool from the sheep in order to sustain them.
You can learn more about us and meet the sheep on our website www.patchworksheep.co.uk and follow our sheep on Facebook @patchworksheep or Instagram patchworksheep_
