Several of the flock are what you might call 'rescue' sheep though I don't really like that term as they were not rescued from harm's way or from neglect situations. Some of the flock are older sheep who needed a none breeding home that I agreed to take on and give a forever home to. Others are sheep (mostly castrated rams..) who just got lucky in life, had they stayed where they were they would have ended up in the food chain a few months down the line but instead I happened to buy them. I am not a rescue charity or a sanctuary. The sheep are my flock and a part of our family, some are sheep I took in and others are sheep I specifically bought to join the flock and others are sheep who were born and bred here. I get a lot of emails from people asking if I can give a home to their beloved sheep that they can no longer keep. Sadly I cannot take in any more sheep as I am at my capacity in terms of the number of sheep our land can support and the number that I myself can support physically, mentally, and financially. However, I also get inquiries from people offering to give a good home to sheep and thus I have been able to help others find a home for their pet sheep with someone else even though I cannot take on more myself. So if you are searching for either a home for your sheep or if you are seeking some pet sheep to give a home to then do feel free to contact me using the contact form and if I can help in any way I will be happy to do so. I always suggest to people to try a carefully worded advert on the Preloved website and to join the 'Sheep as Pets' group on Facebook as there are a lot of members on there who have good contacts and who will try to help.
