Description

Handmade Felted Fleece Seat Pad Tawny

This natural wool seat pad has been made using a small part of Tawny’s fleece. It is pretty cream and light grey colour and the perfect size for a kitchen chair, stool or bench. Guaranteed to keep your bum nice and cosy. Tawny’s name is needle felted onto the underside as a special touch. The felt is soft and smooth and made from carded wool from Tawny herself and her mum Mochi. This is a completely handmade product every element has been created by myself and Tawny and the flock at our farm in Wales. The sale of it directly sustains the sheep and enables them to live happy lives here munching away growing beautiful wool. You can’t get more ethical than that.

Tawny’s fleece will add a cosy rustic touch to any chair and home and keep your bum nice and cosy too. If you have a very posh and pampered dog or cat it would also make a luxurious pet bed.

This listing is for Tawny’s seat pad, in some photos it is pictured alongside Poppy’s which is available on a separate listing

Tawny’s fleece seat pad is a lightweight fleece.

Size: Approx 46 cm in diameter on the hairy fleece side. The seat pad has a circular shape to it.

Wool texture: The feel of this fleece is soft.

Colour: Natural cream and light warm greys.

Hair loss: Very little if any.

VM(aka hay/grass seeds etc): You may find the odd wisp of hay or grass seed from the Welsh Hillside within the fleece and felt. This is a natural handmade item and I have done my best to remove them.

All felted fleeces moult or shed to some degree some more than others. With this particular piece that is minimal.

If you have any questions or queries at all please send me a message I will be happy to help.

You can meet Tawny and read more about her and her pals here.

We keep a well-loved, high welfare flock of pet and rescue sheep on the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Our sheep are a part of the family and each is known by name. All our wool and makes are vegetarian-friendly as we do not breed or sell sheep for the meat market and our sheep live out their natural lives with us. I am a full-time mum and shepherdess. In my (none existent!) free time I make things from wool from the sheep in order to sustain them.
