Handmade grey felted fleece seat cover or mini sheepskin rug made from a small part of Minnie’s fleece.. 100% Natural wool
This rustic seat cover or miniature fleece rug has been made using a small part of Minnie’s lovely fleece. It is beautiful warm browny grey colour. The felted reverse is a lovely grey colour too which has been created with a mix of wool from some of my other sheep and is decorated with handspun wool in a swirly pattern that is part of the felt. I have needle felted Minnie’s name on afterwards too. The reverse is smooth and well felted. Minnie is one of the first sheep ever born here many years ago. She is one of the elders of the flock but she doesn’t look it or act it and she still grows a gorgeous fleece every year. Her fleece is one of the most beautiful grey colours of all the sheep. This mini Minnie felted fleece is a completely handmade product every element has been created by myself and Minnie and the flock at our farm in Wales. The sale of it directly sustains the sheep and enables them to live out their whole lives here munching away growing beautiful wool. You can’t get more ethical than that.
Minnie’s fleece will look beautiful in any home. As it is quite large in size for a seat cover you could use it as a small decorative rug. It is also ideal to place upon a chair, sofa, or bench to add a touch of rustic luxury and keep your bum nice and cosy! If you have a very posh and pampered dog or cat it would also make a luxurious pet bed!

Dimensions: Measurements taken on the fleece side are approx 55 cm in diameter. The seat pad has an irregular circular shape to it. The length of the locks/wool of Minnie’s fleece is on the shorter side.
Wool texture: The feel of this fleece is medium softness. The fleece is a shorter staple length than some fleeces.
Colour: Natural warm grey with some brown tones on both sides.
VM(aka hay/grass seeds etc): You may find the odd wisp of hay or grass seed within the fleece and felt but they are very very few and only add to the naturalness of this hand made piece.
All felted fleeces moult or shed to some degree some more than others. With this particular piece that is minimal.

We keep a well-loved, high welfare, colourful flock of sheep on the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Our sheep are a part of the family and each is known by name. All our wool and makes are vegetarian-friendly as we do not breed or sell sheep into the food chain and our sheep live out their natural lives with us. I am a fulltime mum and slave to sheep! In my (none existent!) free time I make things from wool from the sheep in order to sustain them.
